SolvePOS is a basic point of sale/appointment book/stock control software package for any appointment-based business. The appointment book screen displays all of your appointments for a particular day. Creating, editing, cancelling, everything to do with appointments, including the amount of time allocated, can be performed through here. The point of sale screen is for invoicing your clients and accepting payments. Maintain client records with contact information, appointments, cancellations and personalized notes. Staff records keep all the important information in one place for you including simple staff schedules. You can set up stock controls for all of the items that you sell. You can organise things in particular groups and create specific packs used for appointments or sold separately. This used to be commercial software, but the business that wrote and distributed it has since disbanded. It is now freely available as freeware.
There is an extensive help file online and included with the program. Since the program went freeware, some changes have been made to the documentation, any lingering references to "trial version" or payment should be ignored!

Paymastr Payroll is a standalone payroll program (USA ONLY) that features built-in email support. Within Paymastr you can manually update state and federal tax charts, non taxable deductions such as 401k are input as a percent of the gross.
