WildSpeller is an English spelling aid for Windows that can help when you know how to spell part of a word. Type the word, using wild cards "*" and "?", into WildSpeller, Asterisk (*) replaces any number of letters, including none; question mark (?) replaces exactly one letter. Click once and you have a list of words. You can select a word and copy it to the Windows clipboard with a double-click. If you use no wild cards, WildSpeller will list words that sound like what you spelled. GNU Aspell is a Free and Open Source spell checker designed to eventually replace Ispell. It can either be used as a library or as an independent spell checker. Its main feature is that it does a superior job of suggesting possible replacements for a misspelled word than just about any other spell checker out there for the English language. Unlike Ispell, Aspell can also easily check documents in UTF-8 without having to use a special dictionary. Aspell also does its best to respect the user's current locale settings.
