  Panopreter reads text files, rtf files, web page in .htm format and Word documents in many languages, such as English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, or Japanese. Panopreter is compatible with Microsoft SAPI 5.x text-to-speech voices, it can read with the voice you select. Instant speak mode reads the words or text you type. Panopreter can also generate audio files in wave(.wav) and MP3(.mp3) format. Panopreter is also a good aid to any language learning program, just install the Text-To-Speech voices for the specific language. Panopreter uses the default Microsoft voice installed on your computer, you can download additional voices from various sources, you may need to also install the corresponding Text-To-Speech voice engine. Windows XP users are recommended to install a third party voice to get a better reading, the default voice engine on Windows XP isn't as clear as that on Windows Vista.

  Balabolka is a Text-To-Speech (TTS) program. All computer voices installed on your system are available to Balabolka. The on-screen text can be saved as a WAV, MP3, MP4, OGG or WMA file. The program can read the clipboard content, view the text from CHM, DjVu, DOC, EPUB, FB2, HTML, ODT, PDF and RTF files, customize font and background colour, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.   Tell Me A Story speaks a story or text. This could be used for children who cannot read or for people with poor eyesight after texts are added to the bookshelf. Click on a title to start the story, you can pause, continue or stop at any time by clicking on the buttons. Care has been taken to use large buttons and fonts and keep the user interface simple. When you first launch this application, a StoryTime BookShelf folder is placed in the User/Documents folder. Saved stories will be placed there and all files in that folder will appear in alphabetical order in the Story List. The top two stories are built-in; they cannot be deleted. All other stories are listed alphabetically as they are saved; these stories can be deleted by clicking on a title, then clicking on the "Delete Story" button.
