The intent is like listening to a good radio station: the next song could be any one of a few hundred different songs, and your favorite songs get played often, while there are other songs that you like to hear only occasionally. With ordinary random shuffle, some songs would repeat close together, even twice in a row, with other long stretches of the playlist where you never hear the song. This solves that problem.

Most MP3 players display the album cover of the currently playing song if a file with that image is in the album folder on the player. This program compares the album folders on your computer with the album folders on your player and identifies the matching folders. After you approve the matches, it copies the album art files from the computer to the matching folders on the player. The entire process takes a couple of minutes, instead of having to manually copy each album art file to the appropriate folder on the player.
