Split/Join lets you split large files of any type (including documents, AVI, MPEG, EXE, RAR, ZIP etc) into a set of smaller files called pieces for easier distribution. Pieces can be easily re-joined to make the original file. The recipient of the pieces doesn't even need Split/Join to achieve this, because if necessary the program can make a special small program to do the job. Have you ever tried to send a large file by email and find that the server would not accept attached files larger than 2 meg. File Splitter, splits a large file onto 1Mbyte files which can then be sent on separate emails. When received the program will join them back into one large original file. File partitioner is a little program used to break a large file into a set of smaller files. Navigate to the file you want to break up, select the size you want the fragments to be. 1.38MB is usually the best choice if you want to save a big file on multiple floppy disks. Click create partial files, and in the same directory where the big file is placed will be generated files of the size of your choice, plus a .bat file to recreate the original file.
