 » Dead Pixel Buddy 1.1
download web site opinions problem?
This is a program for testing LCD screens for dead pixels. A typical 17 inch monitor contains up to 4 million pixels, even a tiny dust particle on one of the pixels during the manufacturing process can create a dead pixel. Or a slight bump during shipping can break one of the highly sensitive pixels. If you've scoured every inch of your screen but can't find a single dead pixel, you are in luck. Because of the complexity of the design, it is generally regarded dead pixels appearing in some products are inevitable. If you need to absolutely make sure whether you have purchased a defective display, you can use this program.

 » DefectPX 1.0
download web site opinions problem?
DefectPX allows you to easily check for dead or defective pixels on LCD monitors. A defective (dead or stuck) pixel is a pixel that does not illuminate properly or does not display the correct color output. It usually looks like an annoying black, white or colored spot on your screen. DefectPX fills the entire screen with one of the colors that make up a pixel, allowing you to inspect the screen for pixels that do not match the selected color. DefectPX is easy to use and it has a very intuitive interface. Two downloads are available: 1) DefectPX that can be run directly without having to install it; 2) DefectPX with an installer program that will copy the program onto your computer, create a Start Menu entry and set up an uninstaller.
