| Absolute Linux is a lightweight modification of Slackware. Makes configuration and maintenance much easier, has common applications installed and configured. Uses icewm/rox-filer for window/file managers. Has backup of fluxbox/fox pathfinder. Installer is same setup as Slackware, with a couple of changes. Automatically installs all packages that weigh in at 1.78Gb when complete. Includes Firefox-2.0.0.1, GIMP, XOrg-6.9.0, Azureus, Frostwire, MPlayer, Audacious, Stardict, and many other desktop titles. All configuration and software add/delete must be done as root user. Great for schools or anyone who wants a trouble-free, lightweight OS. Also makes a great development platform because, just like Slackware, all headers and libraries are included in the installs. Open Source.
