StartScreenSaver is a simple little program to start your screensaver manually. There are 2 versions to choose from: StartScreenSaver is meant to be placed in the QuickLaunch toolbar for easy access, but does not have to be; StartScreenSaver (Tray Ed.) places an icon in the system tray instead of starting the screensaver immediately....

While this appeared to be just what I was looking for, it is not quite. Program works as advertised but...... Since there is no activation delay, it is difficult to get your hand off the mouse without moving it, thus cancelling the screensaver. Program needs a little delay to solve that problem.
