NumCapsScroll Indicator by Vasilios Freeware
Desktop → Desktop Management → Tray Utilities

NumCapsScroll Indicator is an on-screen real-time indicator showing the status of the Num, Caps and Scroll Lock buttons on the keyboard. NumCapsScroll Indicator monitors their status and indicates it in the System Tray with its icon, with a tool-tip when you mouse-over its System Tray icon and with a small On-screen Keyboard-like panel....

This was *exactly* what I needed!! I got a new Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000, which I *really* like, except that it doesn't have any status indicators for the locking keys. This solved my problem perfectly!!

Unfortunately, the link that's provided to the author's home page, appears to be dead; I'm using V6.50 of this program, which appears to work fine, but I'd like to check for later versions. Oh well, I'm happy anyway.

I think you have the latest version derelict, I'd updated to 6.3 last July, CNet updated to 6.5 this January which was
Version 6.5 includes completely code re-written and compiled, it uses new methods to monitor the keyboard (no temporary files, and extremely less CPU resources) and it has a new Vista-like interface.

I've emailed Vasilios to see if I can get a time line on his website construction project meanwhile all of his download links still work. He doesn't host his files on the same server AND he doesn't change the file names when he updates - our download link & CNet's link will get you the exact same file - I checked ;-)
