Escaping Jail is a medieval puzzle, its name is reputedly derived from serfs sentenced to the dungeon for petty crimes. The large tile personifies a serf in his cell and the object of the game is to free the large tile through the point of exit at the bottom of the board by sliding the tiles. As legend goes, the serfs would attempt the puzzle before serving their sentence to prepare them for the rigors of incarceration....
