Hi I need a Safari software for a G4 and the apple website is not very helpful

You know it doesn't matter what forum you're posting into or what you're asking for help with, the important & necessary info is your *OPERATING SYSTEM* NOT what it's running on!
If *I* go to http://www.apple.com/, click on "Downloads" then click on the download link for Safari, it automatically detects that I'm using WindowsXP & takes me to the Windows download page. It should detect that you are using a Mac Operating System & take you to the correct Mac download page.
As far as I can tell from this - Download.com's Mac listing it's for "Mac OS X 10.4.9"
BTW you might want to take a look at some of the links from this Google search - there seem to have been some issues running Safari on a G4 especially if you don't have a lot of memory.

However, does *anyone* believe Safari has any advantage of any sort over FireFox?? Safari doesn't support Adblock Plus, and it doesn't have a meaningful selection of themes or addons... I don't really think it's different enough in speed to justify all the things it doesn't have...
