The prime purpose of the KatMouse utility is to enhance the functionality of mice with a scroll wheel, offering 'universal' scrolling. Moving the mouse wheel will scroll the window directly beneath the mouse cursor (not the one with the keyboard focus, which is the default on Windows OSes). Another feature involves the wheel button....

Maybe it's not compatible with Logitech MouseWare, but I can assure you that KatMouse works just fine with Logitech SetPoint, which is more usual these days.
Great little freeware, by the way. At least for me, Windows can be really frustrating without KatMouse.
