HDHacker is a stand-alone micro-utility that saves, visualizes, & restores the MBR from a physical drive, the BootSector from a logical drive or any sector from a disk. It can be used, for example, to save and restore a particular boot manager such as LILO, after a Windows new setup. An MBR and BootSector backup can also be useful for simple precautionary purposes in case a virus or alternative OS setup overwrites and/or alters them preventing access to the disc or data....
