SmitFraudFix is a tool created to remove rogue anti-spyware applications that utilize Trojans to issue fake taskbar security alerts or that change your background in order to scare you into purchasing the full commercial version of their software. These infections are difficult to remove and are usually bundled with so much other malware, that traditional antispyware or antivirus programs have difficult completely cleaning these infections. SERIOUS WARNING #1:
This is NOT a program for novice users, we do not recommend using the tool without guidance from a qualified malware removal specialist!
For expert Spyware, Popup, and Hijacker removal assistance, do not hesitate to
visit Bleeping Computer's HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum.
SERIOUS WARNING #2:
This program contains a sub program "process.exe" which is detected by some antivirus programs as a "RiskTool". It is NOT a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
If YOUR AV program gives a false positive warning for SmitFraudFix PLEASE DO NOT waste your time & ours reporting it! Thank you.

This tool is a God-sent!!! Norton, AVG and a host of others could not fully remove the nasty "adware360" thing from my PC. this one DID!!!!!

Updates to this program & more information on the author's website have made this program easier to use BUT we still recommend turning OFF system restore & deleting any restore points BEFORE attempting to clean an infected system.
