QuickMac  by Azad Ratzki
System Utilities → Keyboard Tools

QuickMac stands for Quick Macro, it is a keyboard macro recorder and player designed to record macros quickly. QuickMac can record a macro by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F3, stop recording a macro by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F3 again, and play the recorded macro back by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F4. The macro playback count can also be increased by pressing Alt + Up Arrow or decreased by pressing Alt + Down Arrow....

QuickMac listed as Vista compatible, but would not load because I did not have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. OK

But when I tried to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, it does not seem to be compatible with Vista. It refused to install because XP SP 2 seems to be required!

aerwyn that sounds to me like another typical Micro$loppy error message that doesn't mean what it says!
.NET 2.0 IS compatible with Vista BUT you can't install it because Vista already has the .NET framework installed - probably version 3.5 - so it *shouldn't* need 2.0!

This author's choice of program name makes a Google search VERY difficult, his site is deadly to navigate & has very little information. He says Any suggestions/complaints/comments are always welcome! but there is no contact information there.

WE were NOT advised that this program requires the .NET framework at all (it would have been noted in 'requirements'). One other listing site says it needs .NET 2.0 another says it needs 3.5 - this really is a question for the author so, if you want to contact him, send me a message from our contact page & I will pass it on.

Hi guys,

Stumbled upon these posts while looking to see if QuickMac had gotten any reviews. My name is Azad Ratzki, the developer of QuickMac. I had originally posted QuickMac on a couple sites but it seems to have spread (which is great) but it appears the requirement of .NET 3.5 was not included on some sites - so it does .NET 3.5 BTW. The other thing I wanted to throw out is that I have created a contact form @ azad.fucius.cc if you want to get a hold of me and report any problems or need help w/ troubleshooting the app. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Azad
