Panda Cloud Antivirus  by Panda Security
System Utilities → Security → Anti Virus

Panda Cloud Antivirus consists of a lightweight antivirus agent that is connected in real-time to PandaLabs' Collective Intelligence servers to protect faster against the newest malware variants while barely impacting PC performance. Thanks to Panda Security's Collective Intelligence malware and goodware online database, Panda Cloud Antivirus detects more malware than traditional signature-based solutions which take longer to detect the most recent, and therefore most dangerous, variants. By combining local detection technologies with cloud-scanning capabilities and applying non-intrusive interception techniques on the client architecture, Panda Cloud Antivirus provides some of the best protection with a lightweight antivirus thin-client agent that barely consumes any PC resources....

This program looks like it could be a real winner BUT this is only the FIRST public beta of this innovative product.

BEFORE you download, we recommend a visit to the Panda Cloud blog where there is an interesting video, FAQs, & more.

Panda Security warns that Panda Cloud will not install beside any other anti virus programs!
Cloud Antivirus provides all the protection you need from viruses, malware, etc. Also it is not recommended to run 2 different AV engines at the same time as they can conflict with each other.

If you decide to use Panda Cloud Antivirus we would *really* like to hear your opinion of it & also which, if any, of your installed programs stopped it from installing.

Hi there. This is Sean-Paul from Panda Security and I'm glad you're excited about the product. We just released the second version of the beta today, so you may want to give it a whirl if you haven't already.

We've fixed the initial slow post-install scan some users experienced, created an "undo" option for the recycle bin and more.

This version does require a download (after uninstalling the current version). The full rundown along with download link is up on our blog: http://blog.cloudantivirus.com/2009/06/30/cloud-an tivirus-beta2-released/

We're also working on version 3.0 for an early fall release, which will have some exciting features including new platforms (Windows7, 64bits), improved features, a new site, a Collective Intelligence real-time encyclopedia.

Welcome to our forums Sean-Paul & thank you for the information, I will update our main listing.

The new features look really good, especially the false positive handling. Most AV programs are *really* a PITA with this, unless it's a main stream program once it's tagged as a threat it's a threat for evermore.

@FHTeam Glad it's working out for you! Today, I'm happy to tell you that Cloud Antivirus is officially out of beta http://www.cloudantivirus.com. Let me know how you like the new features and upgrades.

New to Version 1.0 include a new user interface, improved performance, real-time access to the latest malware detected in our user community, new Web site and online support forums. We've also made Cloud Antivirus compatible with Windows 7/64 bits, which was one of the top requests we received throughout the beta.

Thanks for the info lithium
Normally I would simply update the listing but, because it is out of beta & that's an important step, I've also re-dated it to make it appear on our new additions page. I am now going to use it myself so I'll report back when I've given it a fair run :-)
