vDos

Program: vDos Version:N/A
Author: Open Source
Website: [ https://sourceforge.net/projects/vdos/ ]
Download: [ 1.4 Mb ]
Requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8
Description: vDos derived from the DOSBox project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/dosbox/). DOSBox is targeted at gaming and available for many operating systems. If you consider using DOSBox for a database application in a multi-user setting, DON’T, you’ll mostly end up with corrupted data. vDos is for serious (mainly text mode) DOS applications, Windows 32/64 bits (XP and later) only. It lacks many of the hardware emulations of DOSBox (no joysticks, basic VGA...). Instead it adds a live file system, file/record locking, Windows printing, a scalable screen font and more. You should be able to run your DOS application quickly in a safe and convenient way.

QEMU

Program: QEMU Version:N/A
Author: Open Source
Website: [ http://wiki.qemu.org/Main_Page ]
Download: [ 18 Mb ]
Requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8
Description: QEMU is a generic and open source machine emulator and virtualizer.
Notes: The authors of QEMU themselves do not compile binaries for Windows. They do however offer links to those who do compile QEMU for Windows. The download link above takes you to the list of possible Windows binaries. I found that the link to "Stefan Weil" is likely the best one to use since his compiles are recent and available for both 32 bit and 64 bit. But you will have to click a few links to get to the right one and scroll down the page a bit to get to the most recent files. As of this posting here are the latest builds:

URL to 64 bit: [ http://qemu.weilnetz.de/w64/qemu-w64-setup-20150321.exe ]

Execute CP/M 2.2 applications on Windows

Program: Execute CP/M 2.2 applications on Windows Version:N/A
Author: Marcelo Dantas
Website: [ https://sourceforge.net/projects/runcpm/?source=directory ]
Download: [ 52.7 Kb ]
Requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8
Description: This program allows old 8 bit CP/M 2.2 applications to be run on Windows machines, up to Windows 8.1 64 bits. The idea is to have the CP/M application run from its own folder, which will be presented to the application as drive A: I wrote this program to allow me to run UCD MicroMumps natively on Windows, which seems to be working fine. Then I tested with Microsoft Basic as well, and a few other apps. There is no terminal emulation, so applications like Wordstar and Supercalc will not run correctly. The code is still work in progress and was written mostly over sleepless nights, so there may be bugs.
